Tazzle 10 FM is a medication used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). It combines Tadalafil (10 mg) with Finasteride (0.5 mg), two active ingredients that work through different mechanisms to address these conditions.

Mechanism of Action:

Tadalafil (10 mg):

Type: Phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor.

Action: Tadalafil works by inhibiting the PDE5 enzyme, which is responsible for breaking down cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) in the smooth muscle cells of the penis. By inhibiting PDE5, tadalafil increases cGMP levels, leading to the relaxation of smooth muscle and vasodilation. This enhances blood flow to the penis, facilitating an erection in response to sexual stimulation.

Onset and Duration: Tadalafil typically starts working within 30 minutes and can remain effective for up to 36 hours, earning it the nickname "the weekend pill."

Finasteride (0.5 mg):

Type: 5-alpha reductase inhibitor.

Action: Finasteride works by inhibiting the enzyme 5-alpha reductase, which converts testosterone into dihydrotestosterone (DHT). DHT is a potent androgen responsible for prostate growth. By reducing DHT levels, finasteride helps shrink the prostate gland, alleviating symptoms of BPH such as urinary frequency, urgency, and retention.

TAZZLE 10 FM combines two medications with complementary mechanisms to address both erectile dysfunction and benign prostatic hyperplasia. Always consult a healthcare provider before starting any new medication to ensure it is appropriate for your specific condition.
